Coastal K9 Dog Rescue in St. Andrews, Nova Scotia, has been helping dogs in need for over 10 years. Run entirely by volunteers, Coastal K9 Rescue Society provides medical care, safe foster homes, and thoughtful adoption matching to give every dog a second chance. Our mission is to support dogs in distress while building a compassionate, community-focused rescue network across Nova Scotia and beyond.

Group of people, mostly young men, exiting a building with dogs, some on leashes, during daytime. One man holds a small black puppy. Others have larger dogs, including a dark gray and tan dog and a brown and white dog. They are on steps and near a keypad entry, with a brick wall and metal railing in the background.

Over the past ten years, Coastal K9 has taken in hundreds of dogs and consistently secured safe, suitable homes for those in need, a testament to the dedication of our foster network and volunteers.

A fun fact about Coastal K9 is that several of our adopted dogs have gone on to become therapy and support animals, showcasing the incredible potential in every rescue dog we take in.
